Coast Guard Station Surigao del Norte headed by the Station Commander CG CDR. ELAINE R. PANGILINAN participated in the Tree Planting activity organized and spearheaded by Civil Military Operations Unit – Eastern Mindanao (CMOU-EM) held at Brgy. Punta Bilar, Surigao City, Surigao del Norte on 24 July 2021.
The activity was also participated by Coast Guard District Northeastern Mindanao (CGDNEM) including the Operational Control Units, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Private Volunteers, Brgy. Officials and the constituents of Brgy. Punta Bilar in support to Eastern Mindanao Command (EMC) Campaign Plan and Executive Order No. 70 otherwise known as “Whole of Nation Approach”.
Tree Planting activity aims to raise awareness and supports the government in the promotion of preserving the natural resources which provides habitat for forest life and prevent natural disaster in land by serving future barrier that mitigates the effects of climate change.
CG CDR. PANGILINAN underscored that PCG in Surigao del Norte will continuously support and participate all the endeavors of the Philippine Navy particularly in protecting and preserving our motherland which the community will benefit the most.
