Eighty-four thousand (PhP84,000.00) total worth of illegal drugs were seized by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera (PDEA-CAR) and arrested two suspected drug dealers in a buy-bust operation yesterday, August 5, 2024 in San Luis Barangay, Baguio City.
The PhP84,000.00 worth of seized illegal drugs weighed about 700 grams. While the arrested persons were identified as Mark Joseph Franco Balancio and Haans Christian Caburian, both residents of Baguio City. They sold one (1) plastic bag containing dried marijuana leaves weighing 500 grams worth Php 20,000.00 to an undercover agent and also taken from one of the suspects is another bag containing dried marijuana fruiting tops which weighed 200 grams.
Additionally, one cellular phone and a Toyota Innova motor vehicle believed to be used in illegal drug transactions were also seized from them.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against Joseph Franco Balancio and Haans Christian Caburian. (Baby Tong)
