The 2nd Batch composed of 95 young leaders for the Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) was launched on Friday, August 30, 2024 through the partnership of Philippine Army’s 53rd Infantry “MATAPAT” Battalion, 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division and the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Government.
53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion, Philippine Army Commander LTC Rolando E. Vargas Jr. and 1st District Cong. Divina Grace C. Yu officially opened the said 3-day activity at the 1st Infantry “TABAK” Division (1ID) Headquarters, Kuta Major Cesar L Sang-an, Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
The YLS involved interactive activities to inspire and equip the participants with essential leadership skills and values. Through workshops, discussions, and hands-on exercises, the young leaders were empowered to develop their potential and positively contribute to their communities.
