The family of Dr. Daniel Moreno, the doctor kidnapped by the Abu Sayyf in Jolo last Tuesday, February 4 in Jolo has not received any ransom demand for the release of the victim.
The Western Mindanao Command on their part ordered the troops in Sulu to conduct hot pursuit operations against Moreno’s kidnappers.
Westmincom Public Information Officer Maj. Arvin John Encinas said the Moreno family has not received any communication from the kidnappers.
Encinas said, Wesmincom Chief, Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana’s order was to go after the suspects and rescue the victim.
Troops are now trying to verify where the kidnappers brought the doctor.
Joint Task Force Sulu is also coordinating with the Sulu police with regards to their investigation.
Moreno was taken by four armed men from his clinic Tuesday night in Barangay Walled City, Jolo, a block away from the Jolo Municipal Police Station.
