LATEST CONFIRMED CASE — 21 SEPTEMBER 2020

One (1) individual from San Jose, a returning Dinagatnon from Surigao City, tested positive for COVID-19. The person was immediately transported to the Municipal Care and Containment Center upon arrival in the province and did not have any contact with the general public. The new confirmed active case — who currently exhibits mild symptoms and is in stable condition — will soon be housed in the Provincial Care and Containment Center (PCCC) to be monitored and cared for by our doctors and other health frontliners while being kept isolated from the rest of the persons under mandatory quarantine.

This brings our total confirmed active cases to three (3). Two (2) of them are residents of Tubajon. Both are asymptomatic and housed in the PCCC.

Again, we can still confirm that there is NO LOCAL TRANSMISSION in Dinagat Islands. All cases of infection are locally stranded individuals or returning Dinagatnons who have been properly isolated in our Care and Containment Centers.

Our health and safety protocols are still in place and continue to be enforced to ensure that no local transmission will occur in our province. As we support each other during these times, let us also pray for the speedy recovery of all our active cases and fellow Dinagatnons.
