LGU Iriga Issues Statement On Newest Covid-19 Case

The city government of Iriga through Mayor Madelaine Alfelor has issued a statement on Bicol #427 after the Department of Health Bicol identified said patient as the newest Covid-19 case in the city.

According to the statement, the patient is a 47-year-old male Overseas Filipino Worker from Brgy. San Nicolas Iriga City who underwent mandatory quarantine in Malate Manila upon his arrival.

On 21 July 2020, Bicol #427 left for Iriga City and was directed to the quarantine facility being maintained by the city government.

Now, said patient is due for gallbladder surgery and as vital to its preoperative standard procedure, LGU Iriga recommended him for a swab test which yielded a positive result for Covid-19.

Immediately, Bicol #427 was transported to an isolation facility managed by the provincial government.

Mayor Madelaine Alfelor assured the public that the city government is undertaking stringent and precautionary measures to control the spread of the virus in the city.
