Oliva recently concluded his presentation at the DILG Region V Balangibog Episode: “Bicol LGUs Initiatives under State of National Energy Emergency.” Conducted via Zoom, the forum brought together Provincial and City Government leaders from across the entire Bicol Region to discuss strategic responses to the current global energy crisis.
Amidst global economic volatility, Mayor Rex shared how Iriga City has taken decisive steps to protect the local economy and ensure sustainability. Our showcased best practices—including the transition to solar energy, the 4-day workweek, and grassroots fuel conservation—served as a blueprint for resilience that other LGUs may now replicate.
