Iriga: DOH Bicol CHD turned over health logistics to the affected provinces in the Region

In response to the effects of the Shear Line in the Bicol Region, the Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development (DOH Bicol CHD) turned over health logistics to the affected provinces in the region on January 10, 2025.

The DOH Bicol CHD led by Regional Director Dr. Rodolfo Antonio M. Albornoz turned over health logistics to the Provincial Health Offices of Albay and Sorsogon. Each province received 300 water containers, 50 pails of hygiene kits from the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), 1000 capsules of doxycycline, and one (1) box of aquatabs from the World Health Organization.

Earlier today, the City Health Office of Legazpi were also allocated with 200 water containers, 25 pails of hygiene kits from UNICEF, 1000 capsules of doxycycline and one (1) box of aquatabs from the World Health Organization. The DOH Bicol CHD will also turn over the same health logistics to the City Health Office of Sorsogon.

Since Wednesday, January 8, the DOH Bicol CHD has raised its Code White Alert status which puts all health professionals and workers on standby to monitor and respond to medical emergencies in the region.
