In celebration of the 2024 Linggo ng Kabataan and CamSur Youth Month, the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur, led by Gov Luigi Villafuerte, through the Environment Disaster Management and Emergency Response Office (EDMERO CAMSUR), together with the Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) and the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), conducted the Earth Keepers Youth Camp and CamSur Youth Summit on August 14-16, 2024, at the Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili.
As the world navigates an increasingly complex global landscape marked by environmental challenges, agricultural demands, and the need for resilient communities, the role of the youth in shaping a sustainable future has never been more critical. Thus, the summit was conducted to empower young leaders of CamSur and equip them with essential knowledge, skills, and inspiration to drive sustainable development in their communities.
A total of 150 participants from Sangguniang Kabataan Federation, El Verde Youth for Climate Action, 4H Club, and the Local Youth Development Office joined the activity.
The three-day summit focused on 3 key areas: (1) Agricultural Sustainability, (2) Greener Innovations, and (3) Resilient Communities and featured capacity-building and interactive activities.
