Mr. Luisito Benjamin Taduran and Mr. Romy Abaño were conferred with the Recuerdo Award in the field of Folk Dance. The award was given during the Recuerdo, Gabi ng Musika, Sayaw at Parangal held at the Sorsogon Cultural Center for the Arts, Sorsogon City last February 21, 2023.
The award recognizes Sir Louie and Sir Romy’s achievements and efforts in the practice and preservation of Bicol Folk Dances. Both have been National Awardees of the Philippine National Folk Dance Society. They are also the creative minds of the LGU Dance Troupe, under the supportive and dynamic leadership of Mayor Rex Oliva.
