Sustained community transmission, increase of contact and mobility and non compliance to health protocols by residents in Zamboanga, are among the causes of continued increase of Covid-19 in Zamboanga City, City Health Office revealed Monday.
City health officer, Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite in a virtual press briefing Monday night said, one of the reasons for the increase of Covid-19 cases is the increase in testing capacity of the city, sustained community transmission, increase contact and mobility, and some are not following the health protocols.
The increase is being noted despite the city is implementing strict measures when it comes to health protocol violators.
Currently, the city have 1, 558 Covid-19 cases with 73 deaths, 1, 038 recoveries, and 447 active cases.
Because of this the city health officer is reminding everyone to take care of each other by strictly following the health protocol.
Health protocols includes: frequent hand washing, wearing of facemask, observing social distancing, and following proper cough and sneeze etiquette. (R.G. Antonet A. Go)
