Hacking incident transpired at Purok 1, Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:50 PM of August 30, 2020, wherein, victim identified as Warlito Eslit Jr., 50 years old, male married and a resident of aforementioned place was hacked by the suspect identified as Livi Ponsica Samonteza, 23 years old, male married, construction worker, both are residents of said place. PNP personnel of San Miguel Municipal Police Station (MPS) proceeded to the place of incident.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim with his companion identified as Ronel P. Camilo were having drinking spree at ubas store and videoke house, suddenly the suspect arrived and challenged the victim to a fist fight. The victim refused and after which the suspect walked away. After few minutes, the suspect returned to the area armed with a bolo and without any apparent reason, attacked and hacked the victim.
The victim sustained hacked wounds on the different parts of his body and was brought to San Miguel Rural Health Unit for medical treatment, while the suspect was arrested and now under the temporary custody of San Miguel MPS for proper disposition.
