Muling iginiit ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na hindi aarestuhin ng mga sundalo’t pulis si Senador Antonio Trillanes IV.
Ito’y ayon sa pangulo ay hangga’t walang inilalabas na warrant of arrest ang korte na siyang gagamitin sa pag-aresto rito.
Magugunitang tinangkang lumabas ng Senado ni Trillanes kahapon subalit kumabig ito dahil sa marami umanong nakakakalat na intellegence agents ang pamahalaan.
“Ang decision is again to remain here in the Senate for as long as walang categorical statement yung Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na hindi nila ako aarestuhin by virtue of that proclamation or any Court Marshall charge at na validate namin sa ground na ganun nga hindi nila kami aarestuhin, it’s more prudent to stay here in the meantime.” Pahayag ni
Pero nilinaw ng pangulo na malaya naman ang senador na manatili sa Senado bilang isang boarder sabay giit na wala namang may gusto aniyang arestuhin ito.
“Nobody is interested to arrest him. The military does not have the interest, I do not have the interest. He can stay there as a boarder. The police sabi ko, do not arrest until there is a warrant of arrest by the court. The military, it has no constituted of the martial law court, so it’s only the civilian court. So if wala naman order huwag niyo na pakialamanan.” Pahayag ni Duterte.
