The Department of Health in Region XI is looking for 500 health care workers.
During the One Davao on COVID19 Virtual Presser held Tuesday (May 19) DOH XI Assistant Regional Director Dr. Lenny Joy Rivera bared that there is a need for more than 500 health care workers that will man the health facilities and to be assigned in the temporary COVID facilities such as Queensland, La Vida and TRC.
The DOH XI has started accepting applicants on Monday (May 18) and still continue looking for interested applicants that would fill in needed positions in this time of COVID19 crisis. They need the following personnel:
- Seven (7) Doctors with Salary Grade 22
- 41 Medical Officer III
- Seven (7) Facility Manager
- 155 Nurse II
- 40 Security Personnel / Admin Aide IV at least High School Graduate
- 28 Maintenance / Administrative Assistant II at least Elementary Graduate
- 44 Encoder/Administrative Assistant II Salary Grade 8 must be College Graduate
Dr. Rivera said they need all personnel not just in health related task but also other workers to serve in the make shift facilities.
Meanwhile, Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) Chief of Medical Professional Staff Dr. Ricardo Audan also bared that SPMC already hired applicants from March 17, 2020 until May 14, 2020 with 108 Nurse I, 64 Ward Aide, 35 Medical Technologist, 26 Radio Technologist I, 17 Respiratory therapist I, 87 Admin Aide /Housekeeping, 3 Pharmacist, 15 Admin Aide I, 3 Ambulance Driver , 1 Administrative Assistant Ambulance and 1 Computer Operator.
Dr. Audan said that the application is still on-going, he encouraged and welcomed applicants to join the team, be part of SPMC and work in time for COVID 19. (PIA XI/Elvira Suico)
