Dipolog: PHO conduct continuing skills training for district hospitals

The Provincial Health Office (PHO) in its mission to continuously develop and enhance skills of hospital service providers, conducts a BLS (Basic Life Support) and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for Labason District Hospitals on September 10-11, 2024.

The capacity and skills training is in line with the PHOs program to continue provide competency and capacity development for all hospital service providers of district hospitals in the province of Zamboanga del Norte which is one of the priority programs of the current administration through the staunch support of Governor Rosalina G. Jalosjos and Provincial Administrator Wilberth “Gaw Jojo” Magallanes.

During the 1st day of Training, PHO Capacity Development Team provided a theory overview of BLS CPR for Hospital Service Providers and on the following day a demo and practical exercises was conducted among hospital service personnel to include two (2) Physicians, ten (10) Nurses, three (3) Midwives, ten (10) Hospital attendants, four (4) Industrial Workers, one (1) Radiology Technician, two (2) Ambulance Drivers, eight (8) Administrative Section Staff.

The capacity development training is a regular program conducted by the Provincial Health Office that aims to fully equip and increase the quality of service of hospital service providers to be ready at all times especially during emergency situations. The BPS and CPR is must taught skills among hospital personnel especially during situations that would require them to perform the duty at any given time and place. (Angelica T. Obina)
