Davao De Oro Placed Under ECQ Until May 15, 2020

Davao de Oro:   Taking into account the safety, health, security, livelihood and lives of Dabawenyos, Governor Uy declares that the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Davao de Oro will be until May 15, 2020 during the Davao de Oro Provincial Inter-agency Task Force for COVID-19 meeting held on April 30, 2020.

Under the Executive Order No. 0031.2020, May 1 to 15, 2020 will be a transition period before implementing the GCQ province-wide.

The guidelines under the Executive Order No. 0028.2020 and Executive Order 0028-A remains effective until May 15, 2020 at 11:59 PM in the province.

In ensuring the welfare of the general public, during the transition period, Contingency Plan (CP) from various COVID-19 response clusters in the province will be prepared and be fixed. Isolation facilities from every Barangay or the Barangay Isolation Units (BIUs) shall be fully established, equipped with the basic equipment and amnesties and will be under continuous evaluation for their functionality.

Still under the Executive Order No. 0031.2020, “Active Case Finding” will also be implemented in the province during the transition period. This operation aims to seek every single Dabawenyo in Davao de Oro who endures the common visible symptoms of COVID-19. In order to identify individuals who currently suffers from the symptoms, BHERT (Barangay Health Emergency Response Team) and RHUs (Rural Health Units) will use the house-to-house approach for monitoring and verification.

“This is a matter of living or not living anymore. Huna-hunaon nato permanente nga ang atong mga anak, ginikanan, pamilya ug igsoon, mga amigo, ug laing minahal sa kinabuhi. We are doing this for them. By following the health protocols, we protect and cherish them” said Governor Jayvee Tyron Uy.
