Combined personnel of Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office-Intel Unit together with Regional Intelligence Division 9, 1st Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company, 902nd Company of RMFB9 and 53rd Infantry Battalion of Phil Army conducted law enforcement operation (service of arrest warrants) at Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Brgy. Dao, Pagadian City at 11:00 PM of September 22, 2020. The operation resulted to the arrest of Roel/Rowel Escabarte Moñasque aka Jotham Co MRGU PSR listed, legal age, and a resident of Purok Sentro, Brgy. San Manuel, Lala, Lanao Del Norte.
He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Multiple Frustrated Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case # 11440-2k14 issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 21, Pagadian City with bail bond of ₱ 200,000.00; and for the Crime Of Murder docketed under Criminal Case # 9096-2k8, issued by Presiding Judge, Branch 21, Pagadian City with no recommended bail bond; and for the crime of murder, docketed under Criminal Case # s-5851, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 11, Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte with no bail bond.
Arrested accused still confined at Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City due to gunshot wound sustained during the encounter with the 53rd Infantry Battalion of Philippine Army last September 21, 2020 at Brgy. Marangan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur.
