Cordillera Cops Raised ₱3.4-M For Typhoon Victims

Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet – In the spirit of Bayanihan, aside from the human resources and logistical supports provided by the Police Regional Office Cordillera for the victims of typhoon Ulysses, voluntarily contributed a portion of their salary to help in the rehabilitation of Cagayan Valley and Bicol Region.

A total of ₱ 3, 407,875.00 were collected from the voluntary contribution of individual personnel of PROCOR.

The Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) donated ₱ 535,910.00, Apayao PPO with ₱ 157,200.00, Baguio City Police Office- ₱ 509,400.00; Benguet PPO – ₱ 532,500.00, Ifugao PPO – ₱ 320,200.00, Kalinga PPO-₱ 405,900.00 and Mt Province PPO shared a total of ₱ 283,000.00. Regional Mobile Force Battalion donated ₱ 297, 500.00 while personnel from the Regional Head Quarters also contributed a total of ₱ 249, 855.00. While the Regional Support Units shared ₱ 116, 410.00.

In a simple ceremonial turn-over at Kalinga PPO grounds, the collected funds in the form of cheque with a total amount of ₱ 2,040,000.00 was personally handed by PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN R’win S Pagkalinawan to PBGEN. Edgar DM Cacayan, the DRDA of PRO 2.

Meanwhile, PROCOR coordinated to PRO 5 for the turn-over of ₱ 1, 367,875.00 as cash assistance to the people of Bicol Region.

This is the third time that PROCOR conducted the Bayanihan Fund Challenge. Previously, ₱ 11.7 million was accumulated for the “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko” Program while ₱ 4.1 million was collected for the Sadanga Footbridge Challenge.

The PNP has been doing the Bayanihan Fund Challenge to provide help and support to those who are in need.
