After the first confirmed community transmission of Covid-19 in Dipolog City, Corazon C. Aquino Hospital, owned by the City Government of Dipolog, experienced a surge of probable and Covid-19 suspects due to contact-tracing.

Dipolog City Mayor Darel Dexter Uy, issued Executive Order No.30 on the night of Sept. 25, Friday, for the Temporary Closure of the said hospital.

This is due to the need to sanitize and disinfect the hospital premises, while nurses and other medical front liners have to be quarantined on 14-day rotational shifts which substantially affect the hospital operations, since Corazon C. Aquino Hospital has only a limited number of medical front liners.

Already admitted patients are to be continuously given proper healthcare services, while incoming patients are to be referred to other healthcare facilities.

Dipolog City has already recorded 4 confirmed Covid-19 cases, 2 of which are imported cases, 1 community transmitted, and 1 locally transmitted.
