Criminal Investigation and Detection Group RFU13- SDN Provincial Field Unit (led unit) and SDN 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted a joint operation during implementation of Search Warrant which led to the arrest of a person for Violation of RA No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), at Sitio Kabalawan, Brgy Rizal, Surigao City, April 30, 2021.
Provincial Director (PD) Police Colonel Noel C Espinoza identified the person as Pedrito T Pacot ,62 years old and a resident of same place.
Search Warrant No. 01-021 dated April 29, 2021 was issued by Branch 2 MTCC, Surigao City.
Recovered during the operation were the following items; One (1) unit cal.38 revolver without serial number; One (1) unit cal.22 rifle with serial number 7186 STRELLA PARCO; Two (2) serviceable ammunitions for cal.38; One (1) empty shell of cal.38; One (1) camouflage PNP uniform; Two (2) camouflage ARMY uniform; and One (1) holster color black.
The arrested person and confiscated items were in the custody of CIDG PFU13 – SDN for proper documentation while a case for Violation of RA No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) is being prepared.
“We urge private individuals who have expired license or with unlicensed guns to surrender their firearms, otherwise, we will file case against them. We are proactive in the drive in our campaign against loose firearms,” PD Espinoza said.
