Usa ka send-off ceremony ang gipahigayon kagahapong adlawa Hunyo 28, 2024, didto sa South Road Properties (SRP), isip pagpangandam sa Palarong Pambansa 2024, sunod bulan.
Muabot kapin sa usa ka libo ka mga pulis; sundawo; bombero; mga sakop sa Philippine Coast Guard, Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CCDRRMO), Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO; ug mga force multipliers ang ipakatap sugod karong adlawa sa dakbayan sa Sugbo, alang sa luwas nga pagpahigayon sa Palarong Pambansa.
Si Acting Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia ug Cebu City Police Office Director Ireneo Dalogdog maoy nangulo sa maong send-off ceremony.
Sa mensahi ni Acting Mayor Garcia nikutlo siya sa panultihon ni National Basketball Association superstar Michael Jordan, nga nagkanayon, “It is important because we can win games that way; however, to win championships, it requires teamwork.”
“That is exactly my message to you this morning, that we need teamwork in order to succeed for this hosting of the Palarong Pambansa,” pulong ni Acting Mayor Garcia.
Gipasalamatan usab niya ang kapin sa libo ka mga pulis ug uban pa, nga gikan sa lainlaing buhatan sa gobiyerno, sa ilang dedikasyon sa pag-alagad, ilabi na niining umaabot dako nga kalihokan sa paugnat sa kusog.
“We have to go out there and we trust you to keep the peace and order of our entire Cebu island, especially that we are expecting an inflow of about twenty to 25,000 athletes, trainers, and coaches alike, with their families,” ingon ni Acting Mayor Garcia.
“It is especially important for this event because not only Cebu is looking at us or Central Visayas is looking at us, it is the entire Republic of the Philippines that is looking at us. So, we have to put our best foot forward and make sure that we don’t leave any stones unturned. Good luck to all of us and remember, teamwork is essential in the success of our hosting,” dugang niya.
