Bontoc Suspends Entry Of LSI In Two Barangays

Mt. Province – Bontoc Mayor Franklin C. Odsey suspended the entry of Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) to Barangays Bayyo and Talubin, Bontoc, Mountain Province effective September 6 until September 18, 2020.

The number of LSIs going home to barangays of Bayyo and Talubin in Bontoc, Mountain Province outnumber the limited number of health personnel from the Municipal Health Office and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) that shall conduct health monitoring for the LSIs prompted the local executive to issue the memorandum.

“The limited number of Quarantine Facilities identified by the Government of the two barangays where the LSIs must undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine period since most of them come from an area with confirm positive cases of the coronavirus disease.” The Mayor said in his advisory

The Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MITAF) has been inform of the continuous  influx of LSIs from the National Capital Region and other places going home to barangays of Bayyo and Talubin in Bontoc , Mountain Province since the placement of the province to Modified General Community Quarantine.
