Bacolod: SP commends student leader as iFUTURE 2024 representative

Bacolod City – The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod commended Bacolodnon Ken Paolo Gilo for his participation as the official Philippine representative and panelist at the International Young Future Leaders Summit (iFUTURE 2024) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The resolution authored by Councilor Celia Matea Flor said the Student Council Alliance of the Philippines (SCAP) is a recognized organization committed to the development of student leaders across the country, advocating for the rights and welfare of the youth, and playing an integral role in shaping the future of the nation.

The International Young Future Leaders Summit (iFUTURE 2024), to be held on August 18 to 20 at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is a prestigious global gathering that aims to bring together future leaders from around the world through forums and knowledge-sharing sessions, it said.

SCAP national chairperson and Bacolodnon Ken Paolo Gilo has been invited as the official Philippine representative and panelist at this summit, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions to youth development in the Philippines, the resolution said.

This invitation is a significant honor not only for SCAP and to its members but also for Bacolod City, which Ken Paolo Gilo represents on an international stage, showcasing the city’s commitment to fostering young leaders capable of making an impact globally, it said.

The summit is organized by the Ministry of Education of Malaysia and the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia (MoHE), highlighting the importance and credibility of the event in the global academic and leadership community, the resolution added. (Chrysee Semillano via The Visayan Daily Star)
