Bacolod City – The Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde) sent a six-person team early this week to augment the contact tracing team here amid the rising of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the city.

The team was tasked to monitor COVID-19 cases and to identify the close contacts of the positive cases.

Colonel Inocencio Pasaporte, 303rd IBde commander, said that aside from the continuous loudspeaker operations of the Army with the Bacolod City Police Office as part of the information campaign on COVID-19, they also want to help mitigate concerns on the rising cases of COVID-19 here.

The Army will assist in its full capacity to be of service to the people of Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, he added.

Pasaporte said the fight against COVID-19 should involve not only the government but also the citizens.

Thus, he stressed that full cooperation of the people is a must to eliminate the virus.
