Davao del Sur:    Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office recorded a total of 665 individuals violating curfew in relation to the implementation of Enhance Community Quarantine due to Covid 19 covering the period from March 17 up to this writing.

PNP Davao Sur will now intensify the enforcement of the law on Enhance Community Quarantine in adherence to the pronouncement yesterday by no less than Police General Archie F Gamboa Chief, PNP, saying that this time there will be no more considerations to all individuals who will violate the ECQ rules and will be subjected for filing of a case through inquest proceedings because despite of the strict implementation,

the people are still violating and continuously roaming in the public places not observing social distancing and not wearing face mask.

Based on the latest figures of violations recorded, most of them were just counselled, warned and advised to go home while only 24 curfew violation cases were filed, 28 filed cases for disobedience to the agent of persons in authority and 27 for liquor ban for the past 35 days since the start of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

The rising trend of this data gleaned from the ten police stations of this province prompted the leadership of Davao Sur PNP to implement the “no warning policy” to ECQ violations. “Let us not allow this Covid 19 to spread in this province because of this uncooperative behavior and hardheadedness of the few”, PCOL LUPAZ said.

Hence, people will expect stringent measures and stricter enforcement of laws to discourage people in committing violations and roaming around to prevent the spread of the virus in our community.

People should take note on “Authorized Person Outside Residence (APOR) and Unauthorized Person Outside Residence (UPOR) as the guiding principles in our checkpoints and patrol operations. Davao Sur PNP is continuously conducting prevention and security measures by intensifying the 24/7 border checkpoints in Brgy Baluyan of Malalag, Brgy Darong of Sta Cruz and Brgy Kinuskusan of Bansalan manned by the members of Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) as well as the regular patrols.

“I strongly encourage the people of Davao del Sur that we shall work hand in hand, cooperate with the government authorities and let us all be united in the fight against the unseen enemy and successfully beat this COVID 19”, the Provincial Director added.
