Maaari pa ring makapagpatuloy ng operasyon ang ABS-CBN kahit pa mapaso ang prangkisa nito.
Pahayag ito ni Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra sa hearing ng senate committee on legislative franchises.
Ayon kay Guevarra, kailangan lamang na atasan ng Kongreso, sa pamamagitan ng concurrent resolution, ang National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) na bigyan ng provisional authority ang ABS-CBN.
Nilinaw rin ni Guevarra na batay sa datos, May 4 at hindi March 30 nakatakdang mapaso ang prangkisa ng ABS-CBN.
It is therefore respectfully submitted that the congress by concurrent resolution may authorize the National Telecommunications Commission to issue a provisional authority subejct to such terms and condition as the NTC redeem fit to ABS-CBN, another entities who are similarly situated authorizing them to continue operating subject to congress’ eventual disposition of the renewal applications,” ani Guevarra.
