6,480 households were able to receive rice subsidy from the local government unit of General Luna as an aid to the recently lifted MECQ status of the municipality due to the sudden rise of confirmed COVID-19 cases, and the recent typhoon Dante the past days. Island barangays will also receive the said subsidy by next week.
The relief efforts would not be successful if not because of the active participation of the LGU employees, Brgy. Officials, BHWs and other personnel and volunteers of the recipient barangays.
Thanks to the MSWDO personnel headed by Dave Francis Plaza and to other key personnel of the LGU for a well-organized and well-coordinated relief operation even in a short span of time, and most of all for making sure that every single kilo of rice have reached at the doorstep of every household.
