A five storey building will soon rise intended for the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) College of Medicine eyed to be located at the former regional office of the Department of Education (DepEd).
Ma Carla A. Ochotorena, WMSU President said, P33 million will be used for the said purpose.
This building will be intended for the classroom and laboratory of the medical students.
Ochotorena told RPN DXXX Zamboanga, they are eying that the college of medicine which is now on it’s final stage will be opened by August, this year.
The college will be led by Dr. Cecilia Cuaresma who came from Metro Manila.
For the pioneer batch they will start with 50 students.
“It’s about time that a State University and College will have this in Zamboanga City,” Ochotorena said.
