The latest number of repatriates are on top of the 391,709 OFWs the government was able to bring home last year with the onset of the pandemic.

OWWA earlier said it is anticipating 80,000 more OFWs will be repatriated during the first quarter of the year.

In a related development, OWWA reported it was able to distributed 99,694 food packs and 59,467 hygiene kits to OFWs amid the pandemic.

It was also able to provide financial aid to OFWs, who tested positive for Covid-19.
