1 NEW CONFIRMED COVID – 19 CASE
Specimen was examined from CEBU CITY MOLECULAR LABORATORY
- ZDS 1114 – A 24 y.o. male, from Purok 4, Depase, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. Naso/Oropharyngeal swab taken last December 30, 2020. Result received today, January 3, 2021; Positive for SARS-COV 2, via Linelist from Cebu Molecular Laboratory. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
3 NEW CONFIRMED COVID – 19 CASE
Specimens were examined from ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR MOLECULAR LABORATORY - ZDS 1115 – A 31 y.o. female, from Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. Without history of travel/exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case. Asymptomatic. Naso/Oropharyngeal swab taken last December 31, 2020. Result: Positive for SARS-COV-2. For possible transfer to a Covid Isolation Unit. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
- ZDS 1116 – A 36 y.o. male, from Purok Kawashi, Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur. A close contact of ZDS 1098. Asymptomatic. Naso/Oropharyngeal swab taken last January 1, 2021. Result: Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently admitted in a Covid Isolation Unit of a Government Hospital since December 30, 2020. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
- ZDS 1117 – A 24 y.o. female, from Purok Makiangayon, Napolan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur. Without history of travel/exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 case. Asymptomatic. Naso/Oropharyngeal swab taken last January 2, 2021. Result: Positive for SARS-COV-2. Currently admitted in a Covid Isolation Unit of a Government Hospital since January 2, 2021. Contact tracing by our local health authorities is on-going.
The general public is strongly reminded to continue to practice basic health protocols (wearing of mask and face shield, frequent hand washing and physical distancing in public places. Avoid unnecessary travels to areas/places with cases of local transmission within the bounds of Zamboanga del Sur or outside of the Province.
