All patients under investigation (PUIs) for coronavirus disease-2019 (Covid-19) admitted at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) here have already been discharged.

“Currently, there are no PUIs admitted at the Emerging Infectious Diseases (EID) facility,” said Dr. Julius Drilon, medical center chief II, in a press statement yesterday.

Three of them were discharged on Monday while the first of the four isolated in the Department of Health (DOH)-run hospital was released last week after being found negative of Covid-19.

The four were among the eight PUIs confined in tertiary hospitals in the city in the past two weeks.

Drilon said those admitted at the CLMMRH were “discharged in stable condition and with no complications during the course of confinement”.

“The CLMMRH urges the public that they should always verify information through the DOH website and stop spreading unverified news,” he added.

Out of the eight PUIs here, seven have already been released thus, only one remains in confinement in a private hospital.

“Seven were already discharged with no cases as of this report,” the Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force against Covid-19 said.

Meanwhile, the city’s inter-agency task force against Covid-19 activated the local crisis committee led by executive assistant Jose Maria Vargas, cluster head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

On Tuesday, Vargas met with Dr. Grace Tan, task force spokesperson, and Councilor Lady Gles Gonzales-Pallen, president of the Association of Barangay Captains, to discuss the activation of the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs).

On Feb. 17, the BHERTs in all the city’s 61 barangays will be called for an orientation on their specific responsibilities.

In Memorandum Order 12, Mayor Evelio Leonardia said the BHERTs, which will help manage Covid-19 suspects and their contacts, would be supervised by the City Health Office.

The BHERTs are also tasked to monitor and provide information to the city mayor of all persons within their respective barangays who arrived from a Covid-19-affected country. They will also coordinate with the barangay task force and appropriate agencies and offices, including health centers and/or hospitals.
