3rd Infantry Battalion Joins In The Celebration Of The 30th Code Of Ethics Month

Davao City – ROW Troopers under the leadership of Lt. Colonel Juvenal Mark T. Tayamen celebrated the 30th Code of Ethics Month at Headquarters 3IB, 7ID, PA, Brgy. Malagos, Baguio District, Davao City together with troops deployed in the area of operation (AO) who also joined thru Video Tele Conferencing (VTC) platform.

The Code of Ethics reminds soldiers to obey the Chain of Command and follow the core values and traditions of valor, duty, honor, solidarity, and loyalty to the Constitution.

General Gilbert I Gapay, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines said: “It has served as an enabler in the governance of the military institution. It likewise guides and serves us on how we ought to conduct or behave ourselves as professionals. It demands from us the utmost observance of the highest ideals of decorum and integrity thereby preserving the people’s faith in the AFP as an organization composed of trustworthy individuals.”

Also, he reminded all AFP personnel that the imposition of administrative discipline is aimed in promoting and regulating the conduct of all AFP personnel as public servants according to accepted norms of responsibility, loyalty, patriotism, justice, efficiency, integrity and morale.

“Public office is a public trust. As public officers and employees, we must at all times be accountable to the people, serve them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty and efficiency and act with patriotism and justice and lead modest lives”. Gen Gapay added.
