Sinibak ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang ilang opisyal ng Armed Forces of the Philippines V. Luna Medical Center at Health Service Command.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque kabilang sa sinibak sina AFP Health Service Commander Brig. General Edwin Leto Torrelavega, Col. Antonio Punzalan at 18 pang ibang opisyal.
Aniya, nakarating kay Pangulong Duterte ang ulat na sangkot ang mga nasabing opisyal sa maanomalyang pagbili ng ilang kagamitan sa ospital at mga kwestiyonableng transaksyon.
Sinabi ni Roque, isang whistle blower ang nagsiwalat sa mga nasabing anomalya na agad namang inimbestigahan ng AFP at Presidential Anti Corruption Commission.
Dagdag ni Roque, isasailalim sa court martial ang mga nasabing opisyal.
“President Duterte has ordered the relieve of court martial proceedings against the top military which includes Brigade General Edwin Leo Torelavega, commander of AFP Health Service Command, Col. Antonio Punzalan, commander of V.Luna Medical Center, Chief of Management and Fiscal Office and the logistics office of the AFP-HSC among others. The Chief of Staff Gen. Carlito Galvez has also said that he will immediately relieve Gen. Torelavega and Col. Punzalan immediately and will convene court proceedings against them without prejudice to the investigation to be conducted by the ombudsman for the military.”
