₱87M Worth Of Proposed Projects, Programs Approved

An estimated ₱ 87 million worth of proposed projects, programs and activities were approved by the  Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) during the 4th quarter  joint meeting of the PPOC and PADAC held at the provincial capitol recently.

The proposals will be endorsed to the Provincial Development Council for inclusion in the 2020 Supplemental Annual Investment Program (AIP).

The councils also approved ₱ 31.1 M worth of various barangay infrastructure projects funded through the 2020 PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNan (PAMANA) Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) under a Tripartite Agreement between OPAPP, DILG and the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, for endorsement to PDC for Supplemental AIP, as well.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Provincial Office also reported about updates on the drug-cleared barangays.

Board Member Juvy Pepello gave an update on the ongoing programs and projects of the Liga ng mga Barangay, while the Provincial Health Office presented about COVID-19 updates in the province.
