The ongoing construction of a 16-bed-capacity CoVID-19 isolation facility at the Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) is expected to be completed this January 2021.

The ₱ 12.99 million facility which was funded by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be an extension isolation facility of BeGH.

BeGH Chief, Dr. Meliarazon Dulay explained that the facility will in-house CoVID-19 patients who are showing improvements and are completing their required number of days of isolation.

BeGH has been admitting patients with mild and severe signs and symptoms of the Coronavirus.

The Provincial Government of Benguet will provide the necessary manpower requirements of the said facility.

“The DPWH-funded isolation facility is a big help for BeGH specially that there are more symptomatic patients being admitted at the hospital.” Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas said.

At present, the provincial government is operating five Provincial Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMFs) for symptomatic CoVID-19 patients after Concordia (TTMF5) with 160 bed-capacity opened last December 2020.
