Two pupils of Surigao City Pilot School excelled in the 2019 NATIONAL CHILDREN’S SCIENCE CONGRESS of the Science Club Advisers Association of the Philippines last February 16 to 19 this year. The contest was held at La Vista Pansol Resort in Calamba, Laguna with the theme Enhancing Science Concepts Through Investigations.
Sam Adrian Denzo Cabusao, Grade 6 Pupil was declared Champion inScience Quiz Category C and Champion in Odyssey of the Mind/Science Process Skills Category B. He also got the 3rd Place in Science Trivia Category C and 3rd Place in Extemporaneous Speech Category C
Zed Benedict L. Beloy, Grade 5 pupil was also declared Champion in Science Quiz Category A and 2nd Place in Odyssey of the Mind/Science Process Skills Category A. Beloy also got the 2nd Place in Science Trivia Category A and 2nd Place in Word Factory.
Dr. Felix Bagnol, the principal of Surigao City Pilot School said this is the first time these 2 pupils joined the National Children’s Science Congress. Cabusao is consistent topnotcher from Grade 5 regular class, he qualified to join the fast learner section in Grade 6 competitiveness screening.
The 2 pupils were accompanied by their coaches Aicel Ibarra and Joriza Mejong.
