20 Punong Barangays of Del Carmen participated the 2-day Katarungang Pambarangay Skills Enhancement Training facilitated by DILG-Del Carmen led by Ms. Davejane Nuñez-Barcelon, OIC-MLGOO. Resource Speakers on the said training include Mr. John Rey Mosquito II, DILG Provincial Director, and Mr. Ian Jun A. Gesta, MLGOO of Sison.
Katarungang Pambarangay is a local justice system and is operated by the barangay local government units. It promotes amicable settlement as a mode of dispute resolution among conflicting parties in the barangay level without resorting to tedious court litigation.
The training aims to empower and enhance the skills of the Lupon Members to effectively and efficiently resolve cases filed in their respective barangay.
