Camp Col Rafael C Rodriguez, Butuan City – Police Retirement and Benefit Unit (PRBU) 13 successfully accounted 2,747 pensioners in the region as part of “Pensioner Ko, Sagot Ko” program of the Philippine National Police for retired police officers as reported by POLICE LIEUTENANT MARIFEL L CORTEZ, Officer-In-Charge of PRBU 13 during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony held in Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 grandstand last Monday, August 8.
Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 Director POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL ROMEO M CARAMAT JR lauded the efforts of police officers from different police offices, stations and mobile forces who were designated as pensioner buddies of retired law enforcers or their spouses for assisting them to complete all necessary requirement to obtain retirement benefits.
As a result, PRBU 13 is one of the top three performing units during the second quarter and third quarter of Pensioners Online Accounting for CY 2022. 2,515 pensioners are qualified to receive benefits while 226 were disqualified and another six are for review.
PRBU administer the retirement, separation and death benefits of the PNP Personnel as well as implementation of plans and programs that would uplift the morale and welfare of the PNP pensioners.
“We recognize the valuable contribution of our former law enforcers and this program by the PNP will serve as compensation for their exemplary service for the community” RD CARAMAT JR said.
