Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte- The Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Police Office (ZNPPO) is priding with their Oplan Ligtas Paskohan during the media forum held at Mibang Hotel, Dipolog City on December 6, 2018 through PCI Vedasto Dasmariñas.
The said oplan aims for the security and safety of the community during our Christmas and New Year’s celebration. With this, the PNP’s duties and responsibilities are re-enforcement, crime prevention and arrest of violations under R.A. 7183 which is the act of regulating the sale, manufacture, distribution, and use of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices.
PCI Dasmariñas reported that according to the data from the Department of Health (DOH) that the reduction of firecracker incidents has reached into 27% from December 21, 2017 to January 5, 2018 compared to the incident rate on 2016 in 463.
The ZNPPO calls the public to be more informed about the prohibited and allowed firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices that we wish to use to ensure our safety.(HUMSS-Polanco National High School)
