DAVAO CITY- 14 Former Rebels (FRs) from Bukidnon joined the training on Heavy Equipment NCII facilitated by the Makatao Battalion in partnership with TESDA Davao del Norte, together with 14 members of the communities of Sto.Tomas DDN, and 2 military personnel.
The training formally started on 10 September 2019 with the opening ceremony spearheaded by LTC FREDDIE T MESA JR (INF) PA, Battalion Executive Officer, 89IB together with Ms Arlyn S Bandong, Provincial Director of TESDA Davao del Norte and Engr Paquito E Verano Jr, Area Equipment Engineer of DPWH.
The program aims to develop skills and provide employment opportunities to the members of the community, most especially to FRs, in order to aid them as they are incorporated back to society. Meanwhile, this training will also serve as a career option for the soldiers when they retire from the military service.
