Davao City— Numerous citizens line up for a chance to score employment and avail of free legal services on March 4, 2019 at the provincial capitol, as part of the ongoing celebration of the 12th Bulawan Festival and 21st Founding Anniversary of Compostela Valley.
A total of 21 establishments congregate at the capitol mega tent for the “Mega Job Fair 2019”, with 9 from local establishments for ones who want to find a job that fit their chosen field, and 12 overseas establishments that cater to those who are interested in working abroad. On that day, 1,692 vacancies are open for those who are interested in landing a job.
Along with the job fair is the “3rd Provincial Free Legal Aid Service Day” for those who are in need of help on legal concerns, including Criminal and Civil cases, Marital abuse, Marriage annulment, Birth Certificate errors, Labor cases, Land Titles and Deeds, among others.
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) from Davao del Norte and Compostela Valley attended the event to give their services with the management of Legal Aid Services Day Event Coordinator Atty. Marie Jude Lopoz and PLO Chief Atty. Neil John A. Albarico, along with 17 more other lawyers who volunteered to give their services for free.
“Our volunteer lawyers from the IBP-Davao del Norte/Compostela Valley Chapter and PAO were able to serve 815 clients. Thank you very much to all of you for your dedication and selfless service,” said Atty. Lopoz.
The “Mega Job Fair 2019” and “3rd Provincial Free Legal Aid Service Day” are both part of the series of scheduled events for the 12th Bulawan Festival and 21stFounding Anniversary of Compostela Valley which runs from March 3 to 8, 2019.
