Cordillera Local Officials Suspend Classes Today

Baguio City- Several local officials in the region announced the suspension of classes in elementary, high school, and college levels today in anticipation of  floods and rains brought by typhoon Falcon.

Classes in all levels in the provinces of Apayao and Abra including  the municipalities of Sabangan in Mt. Province, Rizal, Kalinga, Lamut and Mayoyao in Ifugao, Bokod and Itogon in Benguet were suspended.

Classes in pre-school to high school were also suspended in Tuba and Kibungan, Benguet.

Local executive officials of Baguio and Benguet, including the municipalities of Tinoc in Ifugao and Sagada in Mt. Province decided to suspend their classes from pre-school to elementary level due to the effect of monsoon rains in the area.

Meanwhile all roads to Baguio except for Kennon Road are all open for light and heavy vehicles.
