Cebu City – Gipahinumduman sa Cebu City Fire Office (CCFO) ang publiko pag check sa electrical wiring sa ilang mga panimalay o mga buildings aron pag menus sa risgo sa sunog nga mahitabo.
Kini maoy gipadayag ni Senior Fire Officer ( SF02) Windell Villanueva, information officer sa CCFO, human sa sunod sunod nga sunog sukad sa pagsugod sa Fire Prevention Month pagka Marso 1, 2022.
“We are perplexed considering that we are observing the Fire Prevention Month this March. Supposedly, this time of the year is mostly sunny, but this year, it’s the exact opposite [as it’s alway raining]. I have talked with the investigators and they are still on the ground conducting investigation as regards the cause of the fire. But they are focusing more on the possibility that the cause has something to do with the electrical wiring,” mensahi ni Villanueva.
Gibutyag sa kadagkuan sa CCFO nga sa unang unom ka adlaw ning buwan sa Marso, miabot na ug unom ka sunog ang miigo sa syudad nga mibana bana sa danyos nga moabot ug ₱ 14 milyones.
Sagad sa mga naigo sa sunog mga residential areas.
Niadtong Marso 1, pagbukas sa seremonya sa Fire Prevention Month, gisugat dayon kini ug sunog sa Barangay Capitol Site ug sa Pardo.
Pagka Marso 5, laing sunog ang gi respondehan sa Barangay Mabolo ug Ermita.
Kagahapon, Domingo, Marso 6, duha ka sunog ang mi-ulbo sa Barangay San Antonio ug Lahug.
Alang ni Villanueva nga dunay posibilidad nga ang mga nangadaut nga wirings gumikan sa bagyong Odette maoy hinungdan sa mga sunog.
“Because those houses involved in the fire were damaged, perhaps, due to electrical wiring that was not checked by the licensed electricians [after Odette]. And since it’s raining these days, [these faulty wirings] may have sparked, eventually causing a fire,” pahibaw sa opisyal.
Ang super typhoon Odette mibilin ug grabeng danyos sa parti sa Sugbo, lakip na ang Syudad sa Sugbo niadtong Disyembre 16.
Subay niini, mi apela si Villanueva sa publiko nga ipa check ang ilang electrical wirings sa mga rehistradong electricians.
“We appeal to the public that as much as possible, since most of the electricity is already restored, it would be better if we revisit the electrical connections and wirings that might have been destroyed by Odette,” hangyo ni Villabueva.
