Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte- “Parents are responsible for caring for children.” This is part of Board Member Ruth Brillantes’s message to the parents at the Children’s Day Grand Celebration on November 27, this year during the Dipolog Sports Complex , Olingan in Dipolog City.
Board Member Ruth Brillantes added that starting from the beginning until the baby grows up, the parents will be able to take care of their child to follow a good way.
The basic rights of the children are to live, to study and to be protected. Board Member Brillantes likewise advised parents to show their children’s affection and not to let them go. Make time for them so they do not go wrong on the other side of the road.
Board Member Brillantes was named after the event. Mayor Darel Dexter Uy and Executive Assistant Praxides Rubia attended the event.
Meanwhile, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Ms. Nenita Maningo is grateful for his great thanks to Governor Roberto Uy and Mayor Darel Dexter Uy for supporting the celebration of the day’s youth.
According to Republic Act 10661, the National Children’s Month is scheduled to be held in November each year.
After a brief program, the Community Education Centers, Video Presentation on Disaster Preparedness and Different Projects / Services through CDRRMO / OSM, Medical and Dental Check Up of the City Medical Team, free of charge to Dipolog PNP and 5th IB at the Philippine Army, Para Games and other Games at the Center for Children with Special Needs and ZNFePa Youth, Mass Feeding at PSWD, CSWDO and City Nutrition Services Division, CMO and Family Sports Festival and Fun Games at PSWDO.
The Children’s Day Grand Celebration was jointly sponsored by the local government of Dipolog and the provincial government of Zamboanga del Norte.(Lyza Merille Bautista)
