Mountain Province – A new batch of Communist Terrorist Group supporters has withdrawn their membership from the communist group and returned to the fold of the law in Tadian, Mountain Province.
The 31 individuals identified as supporters of CTG officially pledged their allegiance to the government in a simple ceremony on November 19.
Police and military officials facilitated the ceremony with the support of local officials.
Tadian Municipal Police Station (MPS) stated that the withdrawal of support from CTG was made possible through the relentless efforts and continuous negotiations by joint elements of Police Cordillera and the Philippine Army.
Meanwhile, Tadian Mayor Johnson Balaoas, reiterated to to his constituents the resolution regarding the non-support of the barangays to the members of CPP-NPA-NDF since they are declared Persona non Grata in their community.
