Station and unit commanders of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) were directed to do better and be more productive on the heels of the reshuffling implemented during the Christmas holidays.
Senior Supt. Allan Macapagal, deputy city director for administration and designated officer-in-charge of BCPO, said.
The transfers of command were held in various stations.
“Do better, be more productive, instill discipline and respect, and most of all accept the challenge to perform your best in the anti-criminality campaign,” Macapagal told the newly-installed station commanders.
He said the reshuffling was brought about by the recent addition of two police commissioned officers to the BCPO roster as well as the failure of some station commanders to achieve target outputs.
It is a normal undertaking in the Philippine National Police organization that police officers are relieved and transferred to other stations or places, he added.
Following the revamp, Police Station 1 is now headed by Chief Insp. Jovel Sedel, succeeding Senior Insp. Romulo Gepilango, who was designated as chief of Police Station 5. Gepilango was replaced by Chief Insp. Carmelo Nermal, who was re-assigned as BCPO administrative/human resources officer.
Chief Insp. Ruel Culanag heads Police Station 3 after he was relieved from Police Station 8, which is now headed by Chief Insp. Charles Gever, who was also relieved as commander of Police Station 10. Senior Insp. Armily Vargas, former deputy of Police Station 4, now heads Police Station 10.
Senior Insp. Elmer Bonilla is now chief of Police Station 6, taking over from Senior Insp. Wilfredo Benoman. Police Station 7 is now headed by Chief Insp. Sherlock Gabana, former public information officer/spokesperson of BCPO.
Chief Insp. Ramel Sarona and Senior Insp. Victor Paulino, who were relieved from Police Stations 7 and 3, respectively, joined Benoman in the BCPO Mobile Force Company. Supt. Adonis Rosales, former head of Police Community Relations Section, was named officer-in-charge of Mobile Patrol Group.* (Nanette Guadalquiver/NDB)
