Four persons were arrested while P336,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized by the police in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 3 in Bacolod recently, a report from the Bacolod City Police Office showed.
The suspects were identified as live-in couple Joemario Guion and Julie Antiporda, both 28; Kirby Dahil-Dahil, 26; and Antonieta Deopita, 35.
Capt. Leo Estopa, chief of Police Station 2, which conducted the operation, said in a radio interview that Antiporda is a high-value target while Guion is included in the drugs watch list.
The drug enforcement team, which initiated the operation at Purok Tilapia at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, recovered 17 sachets of shabu, an improvised tooter, and P200 in cash, among others.
The arrested persons are currently detained in Police Station 2.
On Monday, nine drug personalities were also arrested by personnel of Police Stations 2, 6 and 7 in separate buy-bust operations that yielded about P110,000 worth of suspected shabu.* (Nanette Guadalquiver, NDB)
